Thread Vein Removal

These are small capillaries found on the face and body. Causes are generally over exposure to sun or extremes of temperature, spicy foods and injury.

Commonly found near the nose (hayfever sufferers are prone to broken capillaries in this area). Spectacles can also cause blood spots in the pressure areas.

Treatment

A fine sterile needle is placed just under the skin and a small amount of heat is used to cauterise the dilated capillary resulting in the capillary drying up and disappearing. More than one treatment may be necessary depending on the amount of veins present.
